Improving Service with Data: The Use of ALMA Analytics in Access Services

Abstract

How can Access Services take advantage of data provided by Integrated Library Systems? The data do not help unless regularly reviewed and analyzed. This session will describe how one Access Services unit utilizes ALMA Analytics to proactively solve issues and improve its services. Areas include stacks maintenance, reserves, intercampus transit, and fines management. The session will describe the types of reports, how team members review them, and the benefits and challenges. Participants will be asked to brainstorm, discuss, and share what data they want and how to use them to improve their services.
