Abstract

Our university has determined from student survey response that approximately 98% of the student population has access to a personal computer when they arrive on campus. What does the other 2% do when they need access to a computer? The answer is usually to use a lab, a public computer station, or borrow a laptop for a short time from the library. In 2017, Access Services at the library took an active role in a partnership with Information Technology and Financial Aid to develop and implement a pilot program to provide computers for identified qualifying students to use during their academic career.
