Abstract

Collaboration between Resource Sharing and Electronic Resources leads to improved catalog integrity and a better patron experience. When the University of West Georgia migrated to the Alma ILS in spring 2017, many meta-data migration errors occurred. Efforts to correct those errors resulted in a partnership between the e-resources librarian and the resource sharing specialist, as due to the nature of her work, the resource sharing specialist often discovered access issues before patrons did. This collaboration yielded interesting data that helps anticipate future problems. By employing teamwork theory and simple (free) tools, library departments can work closely and effectively.
