Abstract

The work of Access Services often changes in response to external factors, placing the department in a position to initiate positive organizational change. Of the many methodologies for managing organizational change, project management offers tools and practices relevant for assembling the cooperation, organization, and coordination required to drive positive change within Access Services and libraries. This poster will outline helpful project management tools for managers and team members working in Access Services that want to learn more about encouraging accountability, improving communication and team building, managing change, and identifying and engaging stakeholders across Access Services subunits and library departments. Most importantly, this poster will approach project management methodologies by considering the comprehensive nature of our work in Access Services.
