Gadgets and Lockers to the Rescue: New Modes of Service Delivery

Abstract

Demand for technology and A/V equipment experienced huge gains at the Georgia Tech Library. "Gadgets," our equipment lending service, provides access to specialized technology and A/V equipment, supports research and instruction, and creates opportunities to collaborate with campus partners. Fruitful collaboration and financial investment from library leadership have led to increased circulation by marshaling new uses for existing inventory and steering the purchase of more niche devices and technology.
