Abstract

Library personnel often find themselves in situations where they must demonstrate leadership abilities in order to solve a workplace issue or to help uphold the library's mission and vision for service. Inspiration and examples of leadership appear in many forms, such as Richard Adams's novel Watership Down, a classic tale of a group of rabbits on a journey to find a new warren in spite of the dangers they encounter along the way. Similarly, library personnel face many challenges in the workplace and apply various leadership skills without holding a supervisory title.
