The ####### Makerspace and Learning Services: A Winning Partnership

Abstract
In 2016, The ######, ######## College of ##### ########, developed a campus-wide makerspace, where students, faculty, and staff could explore interdisciplinary collaboration and emerging technologies in an accessible, dynamic environment. The ###### Library became home to this campus initiative, creating The ####### Makerspace in a few short months. , How does an academic library makerspace interact with access and learning services? Join this presentation to learn about our challenges and creative solutions as we enter our second year of implementing a makerspace in a unique campus environment focused on principled leadership. Makerspace decisions on location, service model for circulating technology, staff training on new equipment, utilization of talented student peer staff, space management, and equipment purchases influence access services, particularly how to provide equitable access to a collaborative and creative environment to our campus community.
