Abstract

After decades of navigating multiple platforms and accounts with outdated user information and no LSP integration, we have begun exploring a less fragmented approach to resource sharing. In a journey towards transparent pricing, an attempt to reduce dependency on autonomous vendors, and more comprehensive resource sharing models, our library is participating in the Ex Libris Rapido Early Adopter Program (EAP). This poster will illustrate EAP experiences from a project management perspective, including a review of organizational strategy, project milestones, and lessons learned. Poster attendees will have the opportunity to review functional Rapido components: notable features, the many intersections of Alma and Rapido, and challenges and limitations to consider before going live. Lastly, this poster will speak to the resolutions that Rapido may offer for our decades-long challenge with a fragmented resource sharing approach.
