Abstract

Using ILLiad/OCLC, PALCI E-ZBorrow, and EBSCO ebook data to inform collection development and Patron Driven Acquisition (PDA) exposure of ebooks. Using statistics that are readily available, learn how Millersville University Library is attempting to pull all this information together to improve ILL operations and shape PDA related activities. Data is being compiled to inform mediated purchase on demand through traditional ILL and scope patron driven acquisition / access to ebooks. Learn how we've developed criteria to inform ebook purchase vs. physical borrow decisions and how ILL demand and existing ebook use is shaping the exposure of available PDA ebooks. Presentation will include mention of EBSCO ebook use reports, E-ZBorrow Datafarm, ILLiad add-on for GOBI and ILLiad routing rules/custom queues for possible ebook purchases.
